Ask about keys in stock Hand-crafted in Hungary by veteran maker Zóltan Szilágyi whose long experience has led to the development of many models of 'harps, each with different qualities and tessitura. We stock the popular Black Fire family of 'harps in most common keys and consider these among the finest 'harps we've ever encountered. Triggers may be bent or looped as the maker deems fit for the instrument. Most often triggers are bent.

| From Russia Altai Khomus by Vladimir Potkin with cedar case US$ 42.00
ea. The current stock of Potkin's are slightly different than previous builds. The crimp end is a bit larger (more round). From Russia with love. This wonderful little brass and steel Altai Khomus by Vladimir Potkin is a joy to play. The looped trigger allows very fast plucking in both directions and the round frame is easy to grip. It has a smooth tone with no breath but copious harmonics appear when punched with an exhale. Untuned (though most are around an F#). Loud. |

MurchungaFrom Nepal Brass (Right center) US$ 20.00 ea. Small Brass (right) US$ 15.00 ea. Steel (left center) US$ 15.00 ea. Clover Head Steel (left) US$ 15.00 ea. Murchunga - From Nepal. Brass frame and steel reed or steel with steel. Hand forged and crafted. Untuned with a looped trigger for fast in-and-out playing. Great for percussive sounds. The reeds are not as stiff as the India trumps and the frames are much smaller. The reed through frame does nothing for the sound but makes them a lot easier to hold. The small brass is higher pitched We now have a pretty solid source for these! |

Cambodian Bamboo Jew's Harps
UNTUNED |
|
From Cambodia - We find these bamboo Jew's harps are easy to hold and may be longer lasting due to being made of thicker material than many other similar instruments. Held against the lips, they are easy to play and offer the same full, percussive sound as the "Kubings." Some are decorated, some are not. |

Kubing(Bamboo Trumps from the Philippines)
UNTUNED |
|
| Handmade by various tribes of the Philippines, we use the term "Kubing" to describe these bamboo trumps, though many names are common. These easy to play instruments feature a percussive sound, full of tone, but with short sustain as compared to a steel trump. Kubings are held against the lips rather than the teeth. Excellent for the beginner. |
